How much catering costs in Barcelona

The cocktail format for groups of 20 to 100 people starts at €35 per guest. On that basis, 20 people start at €700, 30 at €1,050, 50 at €1,750 and 100 at €3,500. These are arithmetic calculations on the starting price, not a fixed rate: the final figure depends on the menu, service hours, staffing, setup, drinks and the venue. Small groups are shaped by minimum team sizes and setup; above 50 guests, by the number of waiting staff and cooking stations. Travel is not charged separately anywhere in the city. Our Barcelona catering price guide breaks it down in full.

What the service includes and what a quote must itemise

A quote should be readable without decoding small print. Ours itemises the menu and pieces per guest, dietary alternatives, how many chefs and waiting staff attend and how many hours they cover. It also covers the mobile kitchen, tableware, furniture and bar, plus setup, clear-up and cleaning. Drinks, ice, glassware and taxes appear as their own lines rather than hidden in the per-guest figure. Two proposals at the same price per guest can be very different services: one includes live cooking, waiting staff, tableware and clear-up, the other only food. In Barcelona that gap matters even more, because the real cost of an urban event sits as much in logistics as in produce.

Corporate catering in Barcelona

We cover working breakfasts, coffee breaks, team lunches, launches, afterworks and internal celebrations. Setup is coordinated outside core hours so the working day is not interrupted, and in office buildings we work with loading slots, passes and the building's internal rules. We need one point of contact at the company and one at the building. Modular formats move from a meeting room to a courtyard or terrace without rebuilding the proposal. For the full picture, see our corporate catering page with prices, office logistics and FAQs.

Event catering in Barcelona

Anniversaries, openings, launches, private parties and celebrations of every kind. A cocktail works when you want people moving and talking; a buffet with stations gives autonomy in exchange for watching queues and routes; a seated meal suits speeches and calls for furniture and a front-of-house team. They combine well: cocktail welcome, live cooking and a dessert course at the table. Live show cooking can run through any of them. For large outdoor groups, paella cooked on site reaches 200 people. You can see real setups on our case studies.

Wedding catering in Barcelona

A wedding in the city rarely comes with a kitchen, so we arrive with ours. That changes the order of decisions: first you settle where the cooking happens, how equipment gets in and what route the waiting staff take, and only then the menu. We work with welcome cocktails, live stations, seated meals or a combination, and outdoor celebrations always have a covered alternative planned. Full detail on our wedding catering page.

Catering at home in Barcelona

We serve private homes, penthouses, terraces and inner courtyards. The home does not need a kitchen: we bring a mobile kitchen, griddle, grill and all the equipment. We protect surfaces, organise routes so guests and crew never cross, and clear away at the end. In an apartment the critical point is rarely the cooking area but the route from the vehicle to the door, so we review it in advance. For houses with gardens or larger outdoor spaces, our villas and private homes page goes further.

Eixample: offices, grand apartments and inner courtyards

The Eixample concentrates studios, high-ceilinged principal apartments, galleries and inner-block terraces. Here the building decides the setup, not the floor area: whether there is a lift, what loading hours the street allows, and how the setup coexists with neighbours and offices. We work with compact setups and stations with a narrow footprint, so service still works in long rooms and narrow galleries. When the event is in an inner courtyard, the indoor alternative is agreed before the date, because relocating a kitchen mid-afternoon because of rain is not an option. The most common event here is corporate.

Gràcia: narrow streets and light setups

In Gràcia the problem is almost never the venue, it is reaching it. Many streets are narrow, pedestrian or restricted for loading, so the first thing we calculate is the real distance from where the vehicle can stop to the door, and that decides the minimum kit that goes in. Less equipment, more short trips, and a kitchen built where it genuinely fits. The spaces are irregular: studios, small venues, back courtyards, compact terraces and rooms that are not rectangular. Cocktails and stations adapt better than a seated meal. What we are asked for most here is birthdays and launches in creative studios.

Sarrià-Sant Gervasi: garden homes and changes of level

An area of houses with gardens, porches and quiet terraces, where the event is usually a family one and privacy comes first. The technical detail that shapes the setup most is the change of level: many plots have steps, ramps or a garden on a different level from the entrance, and that determines how equipment is carried and where the kitchen can sit without splitting the party in two. Before designing anything we review the space with photos and video, and agree power, water, covered areas and waiting routes. The service is organised so the family never has to act as logistics host.

Pedralbes: villas and property requirements

In Pedralbes the constraint is not technical but access: many properties have their own rules, entrance control, time windows and approved suppliers. That gets planned in weeks, not days. The setup is designed for minimum presence: we protect surfaces, organise routes and, when furniture, drinks or music are contracted separately, we coordinate with those suppliers so entrances are not duplicated. The team arrives to a set schedule and clears away afterwards. The most frequent format is a private reception with cocktail service and stations.

Les Corts: company headquarters, passes and loading slots

Les Corts mixes corporate headquarters with residential areas, and on the corporate side access is regulated: assigned loading slots, named staff passes, loading bays shared with other building activity, and internal rules that change from site to site. None of that can be improvised on the day, so we confirm it in writing with the building contact beforehand. In exchange it is a comfortable area to work in: there are multipurpose rooms, courtyards and terraces with the technical conditions already solved. What we serve most here is meetings, launches and afterworks.

Poblenou and 22@: lofts, industrial spaces, loading bays and lifts

The 22@ is the part of Barcelona where the space works in your favour. Converted factories, lofts and hubs with height, a loading bay and an industrial lift let us build a visible kitchen in the middle of the event instead of hiding it. That changes the proposal: instead of a compact setup, we use the architecture to make the cooking process part of the show. Before confirming, we check available power, ventilation, use of the loading bay and building hours, which in shared spaces are usually the real limit. The events we are asked for most are launches, company anniversaries and team days for technology companies.

Travel included and how we plan access

Travel is included in the proposal. There is no surcharge by district or distance within Barcelona, so an event in the 22@ and one in Pedralbes are quoted on the same basis. We do not set a fixed access limit either: if the building has no lift, the street is pedestrian or the garden sits on another level, we talk it through and find a way. All we need is to know in advance. Send us photos or a short video of the access, of the lift if there is one, and of where the kitchen would go, and the proposal will be far more accurate. On indoor cooking methods, we adapt to the conditions of each event and define them with the space in front of us.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

01How much does catering cost in Barcelona?

The cocktail format for 20-100 people starts at €35 per guest. As an arithmetic reference, 20 people would be €700, 50 people €1,750 and 100 people €3,500. The final price depends on the menu, timings, staffing, setup, drinks and the venue.

02Do you charge for travel to Barcelona?

No. Travel is included in the proposal, with no surcharge by district or distance.

03Which districts of Barcelona do you serve?

All of them. We have specific experience in the Eixample, Gràcia, Sarrià-Sant Gervasi, Pedralbes, Les Corts, Poblenou and the 22@ area, and we work across the rest of the city too.

04Does the venue need a kitchen?

No. We bring a mobile kitchen, griddle, grill and the required equipment. On indoor cooking methods we adapt to the conditions of each event.

05Can you set up in a flat with no lift or on a pedestrian street?

It is discussed case by case and there is usually a way. What we need is advance notice, so we can size the equipment, timings and crew. Photos or a video of the access are enough.

06What group sizes do you work with?

Standard formats cover 20 to 100 people. Paella cooked on site reaches 200. For larger groups, tell us and we will assess it.
